Hi hon! While I don't want to be the cigarette he's smoking I am a Brendan fanatic and have made many fans of him by my one man street team!I discovered BB in 2004 after taking back a Jesse Malin CD I didn't like (new Springsteen? Pah!) to my local Virgin Megastore (since closed- there is NO record shop in my town....). I had to choose something, was out of ideas, and just saw 'Lapalco' in the new titles section. And then to my utter astonishment I heard an album and songwriter so amazing I thank 'the gods' for Jesse Malin being overrated by Uncut magazine! Anyway, I saw him in concert twice this year and he is ace...! By the way I have news: Moojuice Records' first release will be out in january, we are having a launch party and our website should be up this week in all its glory. Exciting times..! Love ya Meesh
Many thanks for the link and for the plug. I'll be revamping that piece into a more concise column soon and adding a few little insights in order to "Andy it up" a bit more. Not the least of which being...would so many people insist on a public smoking ban if, suddenly, marijuana were legalized?
